The art piece story:
In this reimagining of Pippin, the character emerges through a cascade of emotions, set against a dynamic waterfall-inspired backdrop.
The green bird figure, with its striking yellow beak and penetrating eye, captures a moment of pure joy while subtly hinting at deeper complexities. The textured background, with its interplay of blues and earthen tones, creates a sense of movement reminiscent of flowing water.
This piece explores the duality of existence — the visible happiness represented by the character's expression, while the turbulent background suggests the constant flow of life's experiences. The bold, direct gaze of the character invites viewers to connect with their own moments of unbridled joy while acknowledging the ever-present undercurrents of life's journey.
This piece has been created and exhibited at Village Noah (Yaounde) during the artist stay in Cameroon in December 2024.
